Hotel Restaurant Erzhorn

We were stressed during our stay and glad to leave. The room was cramped, staff were grumpy, and we felt rushed out. I travel often, but I won't be coming back. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want space, hospitality, and time to relax. I got the feeling they might dislike Americans, though that's just my impression. It seems family-run, but an older woman at the front desk was grumpy and unpleasant. At 10:00am, when I asked for an extra key after being locked out of my room, she told me to check out. They had no spare key, and I never got one. I had to wait 30 minutes for my wife to come off the slopes. The checkout time is a ridiculous 10:30am, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect to my phone. Why leave someone with so little hospitality at reception? If you can't fire your mom, you can't be the CEO. Good businesses avoid nepotism, and if the grumpy lady stays, she needs serious hospitality training.

The alpine food was exquisite, and the staff looked after us so attentively. A magical place to stay if you’re after a Swiss getaway that feels special.

The view from the rooms is amazing, and the location works really well. Everyone was friendly, breakfast was good, and having the Arosa card was a nice extra.

We had a comfortable stay, with places to eat both indoors and outside. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the mountain views are superb. It’s a lovely family hotel just outside Arosa, with walking trails easy to reach. Take the cable car 🚡 to the Weisshorn and visit the bear 🐻 sanctuary.
