The room was spacious enough for a whole family, and cleaner than most hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Housekeeping came regularly and did a thorough job. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the management created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They also handled everything efficiently, from check-in to check-out. I’d seen the one-star ratings tied to the controversy about the hotel being “racist,” but that had nothing to do with my own experience.
The staff were helpful, though not especially friendly. Rooms are large by Swiss standards, and the hotel is in a very central spot. I also liked the pool, which uses ozone rather than chlorine for sanitation, a welcome feature for people with chlorine allergies.
The pool and sauna in the basement were great. Rooms are on the small side, but have good facilities and comfortable fold-away beds. It’s a very good hotel for getting around town, and close to the Coop supermarket. We had a wonderful stay.
The location was excellent and the hotel was great. Thanks to the manager, Mrs.Ruth, for being so helpful.
