Erika made us feel welcome right away and clearly takes pride in the Villa. She gave us local suggestions and put together a personal itinerary for our three days in Goldau. Thanks to her, we didn’t miss Brunnen or Lake Lauerz, both nearby. The house itself is magnificent, more than 100 years old, and we were charmed by the history of the town and Villa, as well as the church bells nearby. We booked this sensational BnB to be close to Mt Rigi for climbing, and were glad we did. Arth-Goldau train station is an easy five-minute walk, with good connections to the surrounding region. I highly recommend staying here, and would suggest giving yourself at least four days to explore. Thank you, Erika, for a wonderful stay!

The mix of self-catering and B&B worked perfectly for us. We could be independent while Erika still made sure we were well looked after. My husband and I had a lovely time at Villa 'Mon Abri'. Erika, her daughter Vera, and Gordon the hound gave us a warm welcome. We look forward to returning to this beautiful place and seeing our hosts again.

Erika made the stay feel like visiting a longtime friend. She opened up her beautiful house and idyllic garden, and was warm, attentive, and completely genuine. As a local, she knows the area incredibly well and helped with everything, from local tips to personal assistance that made the visit more enjoyable. This hidden gem is much more than a simple Airbnb or guest room. If you want somewhere with soul and a real family atmosphere, it’s perfect. A huge thank you to Erika for such wonderful hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!

We found cozy corners in the garden that made us want to eat outdoors. Erika’s gem is a beautiful Art Nouveau villa in a lovely setting. Our hostess looked after us so generously and had plenty of stories to share. There’s fascinating history held within the villa’s walls. We enjoyed our stay so much that we left as friends.

Erika runs an excellent bed and breakfast. She’s charming and cultured, and speaks fluent Italian, French, and, of course, German. The elegant, charming place is very quiet, with an idyllic garden around the house, and the apartment has all the amenities. It’s also well located near the train station for trips to Mount Rigi. Highly recommended.
