On our Europe trip, my family and I had one of our most pleasant stays at Al Torchino hotel. The location is beautiful, the rooms are well kept, and the employees go out of their way, even anticipating ways to make your visit more enjoyable. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Ascona.

The rooms feel brand new, are spotless, and have everything we needed. Modern windows kept out both sounds from other rooms and noise from people on the pedestrian street. The staff were friendly, and the location was perfect. We had a great stay at this fantastic little hotel and will definitely come again.

We came to Al Torchio Hotel for a family holiday with a baby and a toddler. The team were especially friendly and helpful with the little ones. Rooms are simple but spacious, and the hotel is very quiet despite being right in the city centre. Breakfast is a small buffet, but it's great, with lots of fruit for young children.

Al Torchino Charme is a modern, well-equipped hotel in a very central part of Ascona, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. It's good value, but I'd give it 5 stars if breakfast were better. It was very mediocre, and the area needs better protection from insects, like flies. There's no parking at the property, though you can stop briefly for check-in or check-out. Ask about the discount for city parking.

After we'd completed our booking, they called us on our Australian mobile with tips about parking, check-in time, and any help we might need. Check-in was quick, friendly, and efficient, and they recommended Osteria Nostrana for dinner, 10 out of 10. Breakfast was generous, and checkout came with a smile. My son Alessio and I wanted to say thank you. We look forward to crossing paths again next year at Al Torchio.
