For Ascona, the prices are definitely okay, and the service is very friendly. The dishes are high quality. Special mention for the spectacular tagliatelle alla bolognese, our son's favorite, though everything we had was very good.

The bar and restaurant have plenty to choose from, including Italian and Ticinese options from starters through dessert, plus snacks, ice cream, and a great range of pizzas. You can rent a room just a 30-second walk from the lakeside, with a huge, pricey parking lot. Definitely recommend.

The rooms are bright, spacious, and nice, and the staff were amazing. It's a lovely hotel right in front of the lake, and the food was very good too. Recommended.

4/10
The room was spacious and the location was good, but I wouldn't book this hotel again. There was no reception, and our room wasn't cleaned during the intermission. The safe didn't work, and the shower cubicle was broken. Breakfast was served at the restaurant next door. The choice was limited, and the food quality could have been better.

The Osteria's food is fantastic. I especially loved the pizzas and the Italian specialties.
