The receptionist was angry from beginning to end, and very rude when I asked the tattooed receptionist to help with my luggage. There isn't an elevator. I'd also asked in advance to share a room with my friend, but they put us in separate rooms. They said the hotel was fully booked even though rooms were available, because of racism. It made for a terrible trip to Switzerland. I don't recommend this hotel; the attitude was awful.

The youth hostel is in a nice house and stayed pleasantly cool despite the hot weather. It's at the end of Baden's old Town, in a calm area. I was there with a group. The rooms were nice, the beds were good, and the showers and washrooms were clean and well kept. We had dinner together and enjoyed the food.

The breakfast buffet was very good, and the front desk attendant was helpful and spoke English. The bed was comfortable, and the restrooms and showers were very nice. WiFi is free. In-room lockers take a 2-Franc coin, and remember to bring your own bath towel since they don't provide one.

The food is great for a youth hostel, and free WiFi is a nice bonus. The crowd does skew a bit older, so it might not be the best fit for travelling youths. Follow the instructions for making your bed very carefully. We'd come back if they'd let us.

The hostel manager was very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and nicely located. Some members of the service team had a direct, sarcastic German charm. That's the only thing that could be improved, though this is just my personal opinion.
