Everything went smoothly at check-in and check-out, and the hostel felt warm rather than like a cold old building. The rooms and shared bathroom were clean, with kitchen utensils and a hairdryer available. There’s a tram and bus right outside, and groceries are an easy walk away. Tommy helped me get the Basel transportation card for the airport trip for free, and Sebastian sorted out my late check-in. Really grateful for the hospitality. Best hostel in Basel, worth the money.

The staff were friendly and polite, and the hotel itself was colorful and charming. It was spotless, the WiFi worked flawlessly, and staying in Basel was easy and comfortable. The price was very reasonable too. Thanks to everyone on staff.

The lockers in the room can hold a small suitcase with room left over, and the showers are spacious. Bring your own body wash and shampoo, though, since they aren’t supplied. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the self check-in instructions for arriving after reception closed were easy to follow.

The BaselCard comes with the stay, so you get free transport around the city and discounted admission to lots of attractions. Staff were great and very friendly, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The rooms were adequate, but the bathrooms weren’t individual. I also found the hostel not very social, and the WiFi didn’t work in my room.

I had a good experience even with a late check-in, and they lent me a plug without any fuss. After checkout I could leave my luggage for a couple of hours before my train, and when I returned I was still able to charge my phone and get some water. The toilets, showers, and room were clean, and the room was quite comfortable. For a budget place, it went beyond what I expected. I got a travel pass too. I really recommend staying here.
