Hotel Victoria

They gave us a complimentary travel pass for our stay, which was a lovely extra. The location is incredible, with the train station and tram stops across the road for getting to the city or the football stadium. We were greeted warmly and had a lovely room and facilities. Thank you!

Ask for a room facing away from the main street if you want it quiet. Mine was clean and spacious, and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve had in any hotel. I had a really comfortable stay in June 2025. The central station is right across the street, and the charming old town is an easy walk away. I’d highly recommend it.

The soundproofing is impressive. You can’t hear the nearby trains or trams, so it’s peaceful at night. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots of high-quality options, and the staff were polite and helpful. Hotel Victoria Basel is also in a very convenient location.

The staff made this stay so warm and memorable. Rachid at the front desk went out of his way to help us find a room before 3pm, then arranged laundry service even though we’d missed the drop-off time by half a day. We hadn’t asked him to do either. The breakfast staff, including a gentleman with longer curly hair whose name I didn’t get, and the housekeeping team were lovely too. Five of us spent two nights at Hotel Victoria in two rooms at the end of August, and I’ve never felt so motivated to write a review. The location is perfect, across the street from SBB, beside Coop and several restaurants. The rooms were thoughtfully set up, with plenty of shelf space and AC that worked well. They were fairly quiet even facing the street. My sofa bed was actually really comfortable. We’re so grateful we stayed here. Thank you, Hotel Victoria!
