Nidwaldnerhof

The rooms were clean and decent, but not the best. The ceiling is so low you can touch it, and the parking area is low too, my car’s trunk just hit the pipes hanging down. The price is high for the service. A/C is a big plus in summer. Breakfast was just okay, though the coffee was good. Reception is in the same restaurant.

The scenery and meal were lovely, but Gabriela’s personal service made it especially enjoyable. She had such a delightful rapport with us, and her humor and attention added so much to the experience. We’ll be back!

We had a beautiful lake-view room with a luxurious shower, and dinner was delicious. Gabriela, our sommelier, was charming and knew her wines well. The hotel itself is lovely, and the service was top notch. We’ll definitely come back to Hotel Nidwaldnerhof!

We stayed five nights and are already looking forward to visiting again. Our room was comfortable, well laid out and had a fantastic lake view. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with a wide choice in the evenings and some of the best meals I’ve had anywhere. The hotel is superbly managed, and the staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. Most guests seemed Swiss or German, while nearly all the staff spoke wonderful English.
