The breakfast buffet really stood out, and the restaurant serves excellent fine dining with local ingredients. The Kurhaus also works well for families, with apartment rooms stocked with toys and children's books, plus a playground. For a wellness break, there’s an outdoor hot pool, sauna, yoga rooms, and a steam bath. It’s in the lovely mountain village of Bergün, with an ice rink nearby and Switzerland’s longest sledding track. This historic grand hotel feels like stepping back in time, and the service was friendly and accommodating. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I really enjoyed the garden, which was a lovely spot to unwind, and the location is stunning. There are thoughtful details all over the building, inside and out. The rooms are comfortable, and they’ve done a good job fitting modern conveniences into such a historic place. Breakfast was amazing, and dinner in the restaurant was very good too. Having EV chargers on site was a nice extra. The Kurhaus has a distinctive, old-time atmosphere, and we had a memorable stay.

I’d have given the hotel and the experience top marks, but dinner yesterday felt deeply disrespectful. I expected a relaxing meal on the terrace. Instead, a group of old cars drove right in front of me while I was eating, making heavy smog and loud noise. I thought this was meant to be a relaxing, healthy place, and I was upset that the hotel allowed the cars to pass in front of guests having dinner.

The sauna and baths area was great, especially the cold dip in spring water. The meal and breakfast were both very tasty, and the staff were polite. My room was simple but nicely designed. I’m not usually keen on family-friendly hotels with shared bathrooms and half board, but the Kurhaus was fantastic. You can get a room with its own bathroom for a little extra.

We only stayed overnight because of work, but wow. Everything was very clean, the staff were really friendly, and the food was great. I’d highly recommend it. And the view from the front…
