good bed biberist BIBERSOL

The room was okay, but the stuff in it was awful. The staff weren't nice either.

We arrived to find ourselves left out on the street. The lockers that were supposed to have our keys were empty and open. When we called the accommodation, the woman who answered demanded more money again, was extremely rude, and hung up on us. She was just as rude over messages, asking for identification from every guest. When I questioned why we'd provide that after getting the rooms, she refused again. I demanded my money back, and she said she'd contact booking. I asked booking to call me, but that call ended and I never heard from them again. In the end I booked an apartment in Basileia that was much better, though it cost three times as much. This was awful, awful, awful. They make mistakes and don't take responsibility. I wish I could give zero stars. Don't trust the very low price if you see one. It seems this might be something they do often, since the price is wildly unrealistic for this kind of accommodation and where it's located. They're awful and rude. They'd put the wrong price on booking, then came back later asking us to pay the difference. On the booking date, the price was 34.50 francs for two rooms, but they later demanded 218 for the two rooms. I contacted booking, and they told me the accommodation couldn't charge more than the price agreed when the reservation was made.

The train station is close by, which made the location handy. The road traffic and railway crossing were quite audible, though, and made it a little hard to sleep. 😄 For a short stay, Good Bed in Biberist works really well. It's nice to be able to get an affordable, clean room at short notice. Check-in was the one small snag, since I didn't have a PIN for the key safe at first.
