Alpenblick Ferenberg Bern

The rooms were roomy and tidy, and the ones on the top floor had a great mountain view. We did wish they had balconies, which would have made them perfect. The food was straightforward and good, served on a cozy terrace with an amazing view. The weather was fantastic while we were there, and we helped work through the drink stock. The tasty rosé even ran out on the first evening. The Chef was a very pleasant person, and the whole crew made our stay superb. Great value for the money, 4.5/5.

The food and view at Gasthof were great, and the restaurant had an elegant design with a laid-back feel. But the waiter made us feel rushed and ignored. He walked away while we were talking and didn’t hear our full request. Even after we left a tip, there wasn’t a thank you or a wish to enjoy the day. We felt we weren’t being taken seriously.

We’ve stayed here twice and came back a third time just for dinner, which says a lot. The staff are really friendly, the service is fantastic, and there’s a good menu in a very nice restaurant. The view of the Alps is stunning, especially when you’re sitting outside with a drink. It’s a wonderful place and I can’t fault it. Highly recommend.

The walk from Statlen to the highest altitude takes you through lovely fields and trees, with fresh air all along the way. From up there, the views stretch across the Alps, Bern, and the surrounding area. Tea and a piece of cake made for a happy hour in beautiful nature, with a moment to reflect on creation and its creator. Wow, amazing!
