The breakfast was worth adding on, with barista-brewed coffee and a good spread: ham, cheese, cold appetizers including fresh salmon slices, omelette, chicken sausage, bread, and pastries. It’s a great value breakfast to start the day. Check-in and checkout were quick and smooth, and the staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from Zurich HB station and the main shopping street, with a couple of supermarkets nearby for essentials. Rooms are spacious and very clean, and the shower gels are carefully selected with options based on your mood. The hotel has a cute theme and lots of facilities and services that set it apart. They offer guests a private movie experience, but sadly I had to miss it. I also loved the galley on each floor with hot, sparkling, and cold filtered water, plus a really convenient ironing corner.

The staff made this stay for me. Moritz and Lena at reception were warm, quick to help, and easygoing, and Julianne and Afroditi at the coffee counter even remembered my order. Rebecca, the night manager, kindly fixed me a drink after a long workday. I found the hotel by chance on a June 2024 business trip. It sits beside the Limmat and its lovely bridges, with the central station and plenty of shops a couple of minutes away. The fresh, clean renovation keeps the old cinema's vaulted ceilings, dark walls, red velvet and sofas, with vintage popcorn machines in the lobby. There's a film every night in a cozy upstairs theater, from newer releases to nostalgic favorites, and the self check-in key-card maker has the line “Stars are Born, not Made.” Breakfast was a generous spread: omelettes, Swiss breads including Hefezopf, jams, muesli, seeds, oats, yogurt, cold cuts, fruit, sweets and strudels. My Americano was freshly made and really good. I had no problems during my stay. Five stars for the service.

The friendly check-in team were very accommodating, and the hotel was clean and eco friendly. It's handy for the train and bus stations, with museums, historic buildings, churches and the lake all reachable on foot. A movie plays each night in the little theater, with popcorn to enjoy. There are also free tea and still or sparkling water in the galley on each room floor, and our room had a small patio with a table and chairs. I'd recommend staying here.

The team is what makes this hotel stand out. Everyone was attentive and genuinely warm, and I felt at home. Thanks especially to Stella and Jasmin, you're wonderful! Rooms are small, bright, modern and very clean. There's no minibar, but the shared galleys have complimentary tea, coffee and water, and the bar stays open around the clock. Breakfast has a good range of healthy options. Make sure to try a coffee freshly prepared by the barista.
