Best Western Hotel Rallye

The executive room itself was nice, but the air conditioning was the reason we booked, and it barely worked. We had come from far away and were shocked and upset when we found out. They offered to refund us if we left, so we did. After that, I couldn't post a review on Booking to warn other people.

My family in the room next door had the same problem during our stay at Hôtel Rallye & Entrées aux Bains de la Gruyère on July 5, 2025. We chose the hotel for its advertised air conditioning and paid extra for it, but the unit in my room wasn't working when we arrived. Someone at the desk tried adjusting it and said they'd check while we went to dinner. When we got back, the room was still unbearably hot. We reported it again and were told they'd call a technician, but nobody showed up. At 10:20 PM we asked for fans, which never arrived either. Later there was no staff around, since everyone had gone home. The poor communication and lack of follow-through made the stay stressful, and none of my family could sleep. For AC or decent customer service, don't book here. If you want to be given the runaround and empty promises, then go ahead.

Free parking made things easy since we had a car, and the hotel also gave us complimentary bath entry and a city card with lots of discounts and free fondue. It was a handy base for the area: we visited the chocolate factory, Gruyère baths, Bulle, and Fribourg. Our renovated executive room was really spacious, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and the staff were lovely, even giving our kids a little gift. A very good hotel.

Small, modern rooms, but they were nice.
