We stayed one night in the mezzanine room at La Grange, which worked really well for a family. The hosts were welcoming, the house was clean and cozy, and breakfast was delicious.

The hosts are especially friendly and attentive, and do their best to meet guests’ needs. Rooms are very good, even excellent, with original decor. La Grange is 300m from the Gruyère baths, and there are plenty of nearby trails for hikers. It’s an ideal place for a peaceful break, and I’d highly recommend a short stay there if you’re in Charmey.

The welcome was professional and the rooms were decent. We were disappointed to find just the kettle base, with the kettle itself removed. It would have been nice to make a hot drink after a walk.
