Boutique Hôtel Corbetta

The location is beautiful and the rooms are good, but I was concerned by the front desk person’s behavior and what seemed like bias toward tourists from certain countries. People here could learn from the hospitality in Asian countries. We were asked to pay extra for basic in-room items that other hotels in Switzerland and elsewhere provide free, and the front desk lady said those things weren’t free for tourists from a specific country. Strange. In response to the comment: does this mean hotel guests don’t deserve a couple of water glasses, a bottle of water, a hot water kettle, or fresh bath towels during a three-night stay? We needed a clean set of towels. These are complimentary at any basic hotel around the world, so we don’t understand why they weren’t provided. We were a group of more than 35 people, and I don’t remember receiving any information about this at check-in.

We only stayed one night in December 2024 while visiting the Montreux Christmas Market, and I wished we’d booked longer. The boutique hotel is beautiful, the room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and the spa was relaxing and well maintained. Our interaction with the staff that evening was entirely enjoyable.

The hotel is clean and has great views, with a good location for the mountain. Breakfast is limited, though. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, there’s basically nothing for you, just bread, meat, and cheese.

The breakfast was fabulous, with lots of fresh things and homemade jams. We couldn’t get enough. Roberto at the front desk was attentive and clearly cared about making the stay memorable. He suggested a visit to Grindelwald, which we took and loved. The staff’s warm hospitality and impeccable service went beyond what I expected. The hotel sits on the mountainside, with unforgettable views from clean, spacious rooms. It was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our time in Switzerland. Corbetta brings together the natural setting, refined elegance, and excellent service so well.
