The staff member in charge, Dirk, was helpful and friendly, and even put on a barbecue for guests on Saturday evening. Breakfast had a generous selection of cheese, meat, and good coffee. The rooms were clean and pleasant. It’s a lovely hotel about a five-minute drive from Chur, though the narrow bridge at the entrance is a little unnerving the first time. By the next day, I was used to it. We really enjoyed staying here and hope to return.

A mixed stay for us. The setting is magnificent and breakfast itself was quite good, but we were woken at 7:30 am because we had a drive ahead and then had to wait since nobody was there. That wasn’t ideal on vacation. The bedroom shutters let in early light because they wouldn’t close all the way, and the beds were just average.

The tight uphill approach takes some getting used to, but once you’ve made it up, there’s a lot to enjoy. We had a large, lovely room with a spacious, modern bathroom, and ours was accessible for guests with limited mobility. A steep narrow staircase led to a gallery with space for four more people. Outside the room there was plenty of room, with a dining table for several people and a comfortable sofa area with a large TV. There were lots of games and DVDs, too. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I was surprised to see only two stars here; I think the place deserves more. I’d absolutely recommend it.

The approach is a little adventurous, but the place itself is quiet and the accommodation was very pleasant. The room was spotless, breakfast was great, and everyone was friendly. Everything felt easy and uncomplicated.
