Mario "Fritz" cooks amazing food at this hidden gem in Collina D'oro (Agra). The terrace looks out over the surrounding mountains and valley, and there's a friendly family atmosphere inside. The wine card is great too 👌😉. After lunch, you can walk in the nearby forest, so bring your furry friend along!

We liked dining outside on the restaurant terrace, and when the Agra's is closed there are two other excellent places to eat nearby. This small, comfortable hotel is run by a very friendly family, in the woods south of Lugano. The bus into town takes about 15 minutes and usually runs hourly, though we thought a car would be a better way to get there.

This is a family house with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly owners, so don't expect a hotel. Breakfast comes with nice views, peace, and quiet. They take credit cards for all payments, so even if you're just passing through, you won't have to worry about CHF.

The setting is secluded and peaceful, with great views, and dinner is available at the restaurant. The rooms have shared bathrooms and there's no AC.
