Waldhuus Swiss Quality Hotel

The hotel is very family friendly, with an indoor heated pool, play room, and kid’s cinema. There’s plenty of underground parking, and the restaurant’s three-course half-board meal has lots of choices at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was amazing too, with fruit, ham, cereals, cheese, and live cooking. The staff have always been professional and friendly. My only small quibble is that the corridor in the Residenz building looks a bit too minimalist, though that’s just my personal taste.

What stood out most was the professional service and gorgeous spa. The wellness team made us feel incredibly welcome and helped make the visit special. The hotel was impeccably maintained, housekeeping was high quality, and breakfast was delicious with generous portions. We had a lovely stay at Waldhuus.

The half-board menu changed each day and had a good variety of choices. The kids loved the swimming pool, while the adults enjoyed the wellness sauna. There’s indoor parking and a ski storage room right under reception. The staff were very friendly and flexible, and the hotel shuttle took us to and from the ski cable station every day.

The free upgrade was a nice surprise, and the room had a great mountain view. It was cosy and clean throughout, with two single beds and separate duvets that gave us extra space. Breakfast was great, and the friendly staff and 24/7 reception were helpful. The facilities include mini golf, a games room, a swimming pool, and lots of saunas. There were a few letdowns. Nobody mentioned at check-in that parking was charged, so being asked to pay at checkout was a very bad surprise, especially given how expensive it was. Some of the breakfast staff were less friendly. There was no lifeguard or supervision at the pool, and some guests misbehaved, making it less relaxing for a “spa pool.” One golf hole wasn’t flat, and the surface could use a wipe after rain. The underground garage door also didn’t close, which compromised security.
