The reception is the one drawback. The caretaker is kind and helpful, but is only available from 8-9am and 5-6pm, five days a week. Owners know how the building works, so it suits them. If you're renting an apartment, check when you can meet the caretaker or whether you need to meet him to get your 'guest card' for free access to transportation and places in Davos. The building is clean and well managed, and the location is very good. Each apartment has a private owner, so I can only speak about the room I stayed in: its decor was simple and thoughtfully done.

Avoid. The service wasn't streamlined, and after I cancelled, I got six emails and many calls. They sent me the same documents with the total cost perhaps ten times, but that didn't help with the lack of transparency about the amount charged to my Visa, when it would be charged, or when they would reimburse me. There was also 10 or 5 euros missing.

We once again spent our vacation at Guardaval. The apartments have lovely views and are in a quiet spot, with shops and sports activities nearby. The whole house is well maintained. Our apartment was very clean, and this time it had a new kitchen and a small bathroom. It had everything needed for cooking. We didn't use the indoor pool. A highly recommended location.
