Morosani Posthotel Davos

Staff were very accommodating, and the food was fine. The hotel is sweet and quaint, good for ski breaks, close to the ski runs and shops. The station is only 5mins away, and there's a free transfer before midnight. The runs and gondola are also 5mins away. Rooms are warm, with plenty of wardrobe space, a TV, and a minibar fridge. The balcony turned out colder outside. The bedding was fine, though the pillows were thin, and the beds are single beds pushed together for doubles. There are dressing gowns, slippers, and shower caps. The wall-mounted bathwash and shampoo bottles are adequate, but a bit tricky to squeeze without using both hands. Water pressure was good. No kettle, tea, or coffee in the rooms.

The food was amazing, and the place was very nice. Service was especially lovely, with polite and helpful people. Dimitris served us during the night, and we had a great experience in a friendly atmosphere.

Being so close to Davos Platz station was handy, about a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants along the main street. The welcome at reception was friendly and quick. Our junior suite had plenty of room, plus a fireplace, a little terrace, and a Nescafe machine for coffee. Sitting outside with a cup of tea or coffee in the sun was lovely. The bathroom had both a separate shower and a bathtub. The room felt dated, though, and the curtains and carpet clashed. Room service also missed a few basics: the coffee and tea supplies weren't replenished, and there was only one pair of slippers. Worst of all, using the hairdryer caused a blackout each time, so there's an electrical problem that needs attention.

They gave me a free upgrade, which I really appreciated. Everything at the hotel felt new and modern, and it looked beautiful. The staff were cheerful and kind, and made me feel very welcome. They also shared some great tips for trekking around Davos.
