The apartment itself was spotless, renovated, and stocked with everything we needed, even coffee, tea, water, orange juice, and chocolate. Pietro was kind and shared plenty of useful information, both in person and by message. We stayed four nights with our three children, aged 12, 10, and 7, and loved the lake view and location. We’d happily consider returning. One detail worth knowing is that the double bedroom is on the same floor but separate from the rest of the apartment. It worked for us since the kids are used to sleeping on their own, but families with younger children may want to keep it in mind. The apartment is newly renovated, though some other parts of the building look a little old and could use work.

We could hear quite a bit from upstairs, which sometimes spoiled the quiet while we were trying to enjoy the view in the evening. The apartment is one of three in the building, so how peaceful it is depends on the other guests. Still, the view is outstanding, and this basic but comfortable basement place has what you need and sits in a good spot for exploring the area. It suited us for a couple of nights.

Snow fell most nights, and by morning the driveway had been cleared. Klewenalp ski area is just five minutes away, while Engelberg-Titlis is a longer drive, around 30 minutes. The location is phenomenal, with a beautiful view over Lake Lucerne from the kitchen window and terrace. A winter dream.

From the balcony and the kitchen window, you can see Lake Lucerne, the mountains, and the fjord. Such a lovely place to stay, with an awesome view.
