We really enjoyed staying here. For skiing on the Titlis side, it's a great location, just a 7-minute walk to the lift. There's a restaurant in the neighboring building with dine-in for guests, a room to dry your equipment, delicious breakfast, and a parking space.

The mountain and lake views are astonishing, and the Titlis cable car is only a 10-minute walk away. Parking is free for customers, and breakfast is great for getting the day started. The place is clean, nicely furnished, and moderately priced. Staff were polite and helpful despite the language barrier, and did their best to assist, although it was sometimes hard to communicate even though I'm fluent in French and English. People in this part of Switzerland barely speak French or English, which makes even going shopping difficult. Some rooms don't have their own bath, shower, or toilet. Those rooms also seem to lack a mirror, so you have to wait for the shared bathroom to be free if you want to use one. I'd probably come back if an en-suite room were available.

The food and service were great, and we had a nice view of the lake from the window. The rooms were nice too, and the location is amazing, right next to Titlis Station. One downside: the menu and notices are all in Deutsch. They could have them in English.

There's scenic beauty all around, and the host was friendly. It's within walking distance of Engelberg station, with easy access to the Titlis Cable Car site. A must-try for families!
