The rooms are basic, and noise carries between them. Room numbers starting with 6 seemed to get the worst of it, so I’d avoid those if you stay here. We also had extremely loud music from around 23:30 until 02:00 on our last night, right before a 13 hour travel day. My partner went downstairs and found the male manager was behind the music. He wouldn’t speak with my partner or do anything about it. We’d already raised the issue with the female manager after an earlier night of noise from the balcony below us. She acted straight away, and we appreciated that. The hotel staff apologized, and most of them were genuinely lovely. But the music started again on the final night, louder than before. We later tried to sort it out by email, but they offered a voucher after we’d left, something they could have known if they’d paid attention to our situation. It felt like the male manager cared more about himself and the villagers coming to party than the guests trying to sleep. The hotel seems to be where local people come for drinks late at night, and it’s the only hotel in the area. For what you pay, I expected a more guest-focused attitude. The staff besides the male manager were some of the nicest people we met, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need a good night’s sleep.
