Breakfast gets repetitive if you stay more than 2-3 days. I liked the bread, but it’d be nice to have something hot sometimes, like scrambled eggs, instead of cold boiled eggs. The setup is self-service at the counter. The rooms are nice and clean, and the Wi-Fi is pretty fast. Just be aware there often isn’t anyone at reception when you arrive for the first time.

The train station is about a 10-minute walk away, and there’s a great restaurant next door that’s part of the hotel. Breakfast is included and tasty. The hotel feels brand new, is nicely furnished, and though it’s small, it’s clean and safe. The staff were lovely. I’d give it 4 1/2 stars if half stars were an option!

Friendly staff and a good restaurant. It’s a pleasant place to stay for a business trip or a hike, with the beautiful Appenzell area and historic city of St.Gall nearby.

The room was modern and very clean, and the staff were nice and friendly. They spoke limited English, but communicating with them was still easy.

The staff are friendly, and the rooms are neat and clean. The room was good, just too small for two people. A little more space would’ve made it better.
