Seedamm Plaza

The service was great, and the rooms and food were good. I was there on a business trip while construction affected much of the exterior, with some noise and disruption inside too. They're investing in new conference and group spaces, so give it a few months for a five-star experience. The location was just okay for me. Anything worth seeing or doing outside the hotel is about a 15-minute walk and/or train ride away.

In all my years of traveling, I've never had a hotel deposit actually post to my account. It should stay pending and then drop off, but this one posted, and now I have to file a claim to get the charge removed.

I had a horrible stay. There was no hot water in the room, and when I had a bad cough at night, I explained my situation twice to the receptionist and asked for a kettle or even some hot water. They refused, saying they didn't provide it. I ended up drinking hot tap water to soothe myself. I took pictures outside the plaza. The booking was under my husband's name, which he doesn't want made public. The hotel's reply below says kettles are available on request, but I was refused one. They turn down requests even when someone needs help. I've never seen such a lack of basic hospitality. Hot water is a given at every hotel I've stayed at, especially when a guest is unwell. The indifference and poor service were shocking, and I wouldn't recommend this place. Don't be swayed by the paid five-star reviews. Check the one-star reviews, where people complain about the same lack of hospitality and basic amenities. They haven't improved this over the years.

We stayed at Seedam Plaza in Switzerland as a group of 10, including three kids, and the experience was disappointing. We booked four rooms. Three were acceptable, but the air conditioning in one large room wasn't working. When we reported it, the staff member at reception was dismissive and unhelpful, telling us to open the window and sleep. After a long discussion, he eventually agreed to move us, but the initial refusal was frustrating. None of the bathrooms in any of our rooms had basic items such as shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, or brushes. I expected better service and attention to detail from a four-star hotel. Poor customer service and missing basic amenities marred the stay, and I wouldn't recommend Seedam Plaza.
