Au Parc Hotel

We never got checked in. The system failed, and after five hours of calling the call center, we gave up and booked somewhere else at the last minute, spending even more money. When we arrived, the lobby was empty, with no staff or other people around. The whole place had a creepy, ghost-town feel. There was no useful customer support to help us through the problem, which was inexcusable. This was a horrible experience at a so-called self-check-in hotel. I'd tell anyone considering it to save their time, energy, and money and book somewhere more reliable.

This place is almost too quiet, with no staff around, and that can feel oppressive. I do recommend the hotel, though. Check-in was fairly straightforward, but give yourself about fifteen minutes and don't rush. While I was there, a man was yelling because he couldn't check in. I helped him read the instructions, and the issue was solved in ten seconds. He thanked me, then got angry again three minutes later because he couldn't open a door with his card. If you can't use an iPad and follow simple instructions on your own, I'd suggest staying elsewhere. In a way, this is the ultimate anti-boomer hotel.

The lobby and room were clean and good, and customer service sorted out the access problem, which is why I gave three stars. At first, the code wouldn't open the front door, and we were lucky an employee happened to walk by. Then we couldn't get the key because the system said payment was pending, even though we'd already paid. Customer service fixed it for us.

I cancelled within the free cancellation period, but the 5700sek refund still hasn't arrived. The hotel keeps delaying it and hasn't even apologized. I can't recommend this place.
