It was almost the only restaurant open in Braunwald, but we had great service and good food. The woman who served us spoke English and was very nice and helpful. They had gluten-free and lactose-free options, and the terrace is a wonderful place to sit on a sunny day.

The food and drinks are basic, but it’s a busy, friendly spot and a good place to stop with kids for hot chocolate after ski school. The outdoor deck is nice when it’s sunny. For the main gondola, use the inside exit. At the start of the season, when it was icy, the back or side entrance was tricky for kids.

The food was outstanding, with fresh, delicious local options, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time at this hotel in the Swiss mountains. The alpine scenery was breathtaking, and our room was clean, cozy and well equipped, a lovely place to return to after exploring. The peaceful atmosphere made the trip unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back.

This is a cozy, uncomplicated place with an affordable, comfortable bed and well-cooked local dishes. There’s warmth and care from Ursina and her team, whether you’re visiting alone or with children. The recently rebuilt playground is lovely and works for sunny or less sunny weather. I love staying here. It’s right by the cable cars to Grotzenbuehl and the Ski School, and just minutes from the cable cars up to the magnificent Gumen area, almost 2000 meters above sea level. It’s not a place for luxury.
