Graziano really knows how to share his passion with guests. We had dinner with friends and toured the winery, and especially liked that they limit the number of guests so he can give everyone his attention. Local game meat and wine from his own production, what more could you want? Highly recommended!

We chose Marilena and Graziano's Cantina Carrara for our wedding dinner, and couldn’t have picked better. It turned into the kind of family dinner we remember from years ago, with full tables, laughter, toasts, and a few tears. Graziano played the accordion, and the music brought everyone together. The wines were served with every course, from appetizer to dessert, and brought out the flavors without ever taking over. Marilena's food is full of care, memories, and warmth. The dishes are simple, but made with such mastery; every bite feels harmonious, and each aroma makes you slow down and enjoy it. This is an enchanting place rooted in the flavors of tradition. You don’t just eat here, you experience real care, passion, and authenticity. The hospitality feels like an embrace, and your heart leaves full.

The first visit includes a free tour and tasting in the grape preparation cellar, with an explanation of aging and a look around the beautiful arched cellar. Parking is available, too. This family-run agriturismo is well worth the trip, with a priceless view over the Magadino plain from 400 meters up, among carefully tended vineyards. Seats are limited and the restaurant isn’t always open, so follow them on social media for opening times. The set menu includes appetizers made with Ticino products, a first course, main course, and dessert, all well prepared, original, and delicious. Their wines are made on site and reasonably priced. Marilena is an excellent cook, and Graziano is a perfect entertainer. A winning formula, highly recommended.

The cellar tour and tasting were fantastic, and the lunch was plentiful and excellent. We visited the Carrara Winery in Gordola on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Graziano and Marilena were so hospitable and friendly, and made us feel at home. The place itself was beautiful. Thanks so much to these "guys," and see you soon.
