We stayed for two weeks and found the place really peaceful. It’s two train stations from touristy Grindelwald, and was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed. We’d definitely come back!

I’m trying to find the lady who owns this chalet. I’ve called her many times and still wonder where she is. This is the most beautiful and attractive place I’ve ever rented in all the countries I’ve visited.

The setting felt like a fairytale, with beautiful views of Grindelwald. The chalet was fully equipped, and Regula, our very kind host, greeted us and saw us off with chocolates.

There’s a big outdoor area behind the apartment with seating, loungers, and a grill. Even though it’s by the street, it was very quiet with the window open. We mostly heard the stream and cowbells. Schwendi train station is only a few meters away, and the guest card lets you ride into Grindelwald for free. Regula was very nice and welcomed us warmly. She replied quickly whenever we texted. The apartment was spotless and well equipped, including a raclette grill and a fondue set with fuel paste. We’d love to return.
