We stayed here yesterday, Sept 22, and got upgraded to a room at no extra charge. The room was affordable, clean, and close to the cable car station and restaurants. The sheets and pillows felt smooth and smelled clean, too. Breakfast was tasty and free. There were plenty of ways to pass the time, like table tennis, billiards, and a basketball ring, and we could borrow two lovely bikes for an hour at no cost.

We booked a double room at the last minute at Downtown Lodge Hostel, and it was just what we expected. The shared bathroom, used by four rooms, caused us no trouble. The friendly staff served a very good breakfast. A big bonus after a day of snowboarding was free access to the swimming pool at the Sportszentrum. We were pleasantly surprised and would certainly recommend it.

The location and helpful employees were what stood out during our three nights at Downtown Lodge. The room was fine, and breakfast was standard hostel fare. The shared bathrooms and showers weren’t a problem since they were kept clean. I’d most definitely recommend the place.

The only drawback for us was that the washrooms were pretty cold in winter. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend this lodge. Our room for four was a good fit for us and our two kids, and both the room and washrooms were clean. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome extra. It was our first time staying in a hostel, and the experience was positive. The central location is a big advantage, especially with the bus stop right in front. There are lots of nearby shops and restaurants, and the Migros supermarket was a lifesaver. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we also appreciated free entry to the indoor pool, free bus rides, and discounts on cable car tickets.

Bad weather meant my family had to switch to this house at short notice. It was very clean, including the toilet and shower stall, and the meal was wonderful too. I had a comfortable, happy stay and would like to come back.
