The apartment has a superb view, including a lovely garden view over Grindelwald, and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s a nice place, and getting there on foot uphill takes under 10 minutes. You can also call Alpenhof for a free shuttle. One thing to know, when I asked for the shuttle in the morning at checkout, the staff member at Alpenhof Hotel had a lot of excuses and wasn’t as helpful as I’d expected.

The studio is laid out nicely and has everything well equipped. It has great views and a convenient location, just minutes on foot from the city centre and central station.

The steep uphill walk from Grindelwald Station can be hard with a lot of luggage, even though the hotel is nearby. There’s a pickup service for a fee, so ask the hotel if you want to use it. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with an excellent view. The kitchen had plenty of cooking tools, an oven, cutlery, salt, pepper, and olive oil, so I could make my own meals.
