The night sky over the snowy mountains was unreal. We’re used to city skies, so seeing so many bright stars was a real highlight of our few days at Guarda Lodge during the World Economic Forum. Guarda is a 45 minutes drive from Davos. The hotel has a warm family feel, and the rooms are modern and spacious, with elegant, recently renovated bathrooms. Breakfast had a generous choice, and there’s indoor parking plus complimentary hot drinks until 6:00 pm each day. For WEF week, the comfort and design felt like excellent value, which is getting hard to find. We loved our stay. Guarda Lodge, you stole our hearts.

The rooms are spacious, and the host was extremely hospitable. It’s a modern boutique hotel in the amazing town of Guarda, with all the amenities and even hiking gear if you’ve forgotten something like walking sticks. Just keep in mind the town is tiny, so restaurant choices are limited. The lodge only serves dinner at 6:30 pm because of its small size, and there are only 2 other small places in town. Apart from that one caveat, everything was great.

The owner upgraded our room, which we really appreciated, and the view from it was breathtaking. The hotel is modern, the rooms are beautiful, and breakfast was absolutely delicious, with lots of local produce. Wonderful from A to Z, can only recommend.

We spent a few nights here as a family of 4, hiking in the Swiss National Park during the day. The owners are fabulous and the service is top notch. There’s also a great kids trail in town, about a 1-2 hour hike depending on how long your kids stay at the game stations along the way. The hotel has modern amenities, with the natural world just steps away. Best stay of our 7 country tour. We’re coming back!

The views over Guarda and the valley are stunning, and it’s a great base for trekking in the mountains. Friendly, helpful staff, modern facilities, and great breakfasts. Everything was perfect. A sauna might be nice for relaxing.
