Eringer Hotel

The staff are what made this hotel so great. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the meals and breakfast were top-notch. We spent a week in a two-bedroom loft and had an excellent time. Rentals for skis and snowboards are convenient and on site, and experienced skiers can take the ski-out exit to the Les Masses lift to get to Thyon. The spa was lovely, and both my daughters loved the pools.

Marco’s help with dinner suggestions and things to do on-site made a real difference. He was thoughtful and keen to help, and the whole team was just as welcoming, always ready with a smile or an answer. The balcony and thermal bath had surreal views, and the hotel felt both relaxing and refined. The property is beautiful, well cared for, and comfortable. We felt genuinely welcomed throughout our stay and would happily come back. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The food didn’t justify its price. It was fine, but felt ordinary and overpriced, with very few choices. Breakfast was the hardest part, especially for someone pregnant, since there weren’t many suitable options or clear information about what was safe to eat. The hotel’s design and views are stunning, and getting to the mountains is easy. The ski room is organized well, too. The spa has good options at reasonable prices, though it was crowded enough to detract from our visit. We also had to work out local transport ourselves. There are two kinds of buses, but the hotel didn’t explain how they work.

We almost skipped the hotel restaurant because of the bad reviews, but decided to try it. The food was really good, especially the carbonara gnocchi, and the prices felt very fair. The breakfast team seemed understaffed, though the two women who served us were friendly, professional, and clearly working hard. The spa is in the hotel building but operated separately, so it costs extra, with a discount for hotel guests. Anyone upset about the additional charge probably wasn’t told beforehand and may not realize what it takes to maintain a spa like that. Some parts of the hotel are still being built, but that didn’t spoil our stay. The rooms, restaurant, and lobby are beautiful, and the view is out of this world. I suspect the negative reviews come from people determined to find something wrong with every good thing.
