Breakfast had a good choice, with quality ingredients and a focus on regional products. The staff were friendly and polite, especially at reception and during breakfast. The gentleman serving was helpful and very forthcoming. Our room was roomy and tastefully done, though a little dark, and a ceiling light would have helped. The bathroom had useful mobility aids, including grab bars, a fold-down bath chair and a magnifying mirror, which is a real plus for older travelers. The hotel is neat, in a good spot, and shops and restaurants are an easy walk away.

The rooms were nice, the staff pleasant, and the price reasonable. There’s no AC.

The room was roomy and extremely clean, and I loved the beautiful view from it. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillow was a real letdown. A very nice hotel.

From reception through to the restaurant, everything made for a great experience and a very comfortable stay. I’d definitely recommend it.

The restaurant food was very good, and parking was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, too. Its location in Herisau is great. I couldn’t have asked for more.
