We stopped in Gelfingen during a cycle tour for a quick bite. It was a quiet spot, and the service was friendly and fast. There weren’t many vegetarian choices, so I went with a cheese sandwich and fries.

We only stopped for lunch after swimming in the lake and didn’t stay at the hotel. It’s easy to get to from there. The staff were polite, though the food was just average.

The view from the hotel balcony is lovely, with the lake, snow-capped mountains in the distance, and a train pulling out of the station. The ambience was lovely too, the food was good, and the staff courteous.

The restaurant gets busy quickly, but the staff were very friendly. We had the pork cordon bleu and liked the local food. I’d definitely come back.

The woman was very arrogant, and I wouldn’t recommend the food either.
