Across from the station, the hotel is in the heart of town rather than in a grotty station district. There’s a lovely community feel, with locals coming here for coffee or drinks in the neighbouring bars. The place itself is modern and clean. Our room had plenty of space and a nice bathroom, and I found the fish carpet on the second floor really calming. It looks like a school of fish swimming in the sea. Breakfast was delightful, especially being able to order eggs freshly cooked. The location makes it easy to catch a train or boat to Zurich in no time. A great place to stay if you're in the area.

The cafe and restaurant are outstanding, and there's a charming space for small children. Special thanks to Nico, a very handsome person in the restaurant. The place is in a perfect spot, about a minute's walk from Horgen train station. I haven't stayed overnight yet, so this review is only for The Loom, restaurant.

The room was spotless, and the bed was really comfortable, though the pillow was far too soft for my liking. The hotel is conveniently right across from the train station. I also enjoyed a lovely early morning walk along the lake.

The room and bathroom were spotless, and what you see in the pictures is what you get. Check-in was smooth. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. A suite gives you more room, though you probably won't need it without kids. If you're arriving by car, they give you a card to put on the dashboard to reserve a parking spot. The train station is directly across the street, and we could barely hear trains arriving, so the windows must be soundproof. If you have a car and want to explore the city centre, it's better to leave the car at the hotel and take the train. Driving takes about 30 minutes because the maximum speed is 50 km/hr, while the train gets you to the station next to the FIFA museum in nearly 10 minutes. Tickets are expensive if you don't have a half-price pass. We had an early flight on our last day and needed to leave before breakfast. The hotel team were preparing the food and kindly offered us coffee to go. Thanks.
