Dinner was something I looked forward to every day, the food was AMAZING. Djambo, the host, is quiet and reserved, but so kind. He made sure I had what I needed and helped me feel safe and comfortable while traveling alone. It has more of a family feel, and I didn't meet many other solo travelers, though I made a couple of friends and always had someone to chat with or play cards. It's not a typical social hostel. The free bus drops you just around the corner and runs straight to Laax and back. The price is hard to beat for what's included, especially with the lift ticket and rental discounts. I even bought a sweatshirt to remember the stay, though I don't usually buy souvenirs. I'd stay here again if I come back to Switzerland. Thanks, Djambo, for a great time :)

Getting to the slopes is easy with the free winter buses, and after skiing the bar is a nice place to unwind, with games and a good evening vibe. The chef makes delicious food every day. The staff are so welcoming and friendly that from the moment you arrive, you feel like part of a family. I had an amazing stay at Bordercamp Laax. Highly recommend it if you're coming to Laax.

The hardest part might be leaving once you get there ;P. Breakfast and dinner are a nice way to get chatting with the other guests, and the whole place feels like being at home in a big family. Everyone on staff is super friendly and welcoming. Big shoutouts to Adrian in the kitchen for delicious meals, including plenty of vegetarian-friendly options, to Diana for her open-minded personality and expert knowledge, and to Djambo for being such a funny, capable host. My stay at the Boardercamp was awesome, and I'll definitely come back to Laax and stay at this hostel again.

Breakfast was especially difficult: we struggled to get coffee or ask for anything, and we were ignored and found it hard to communicate. When we left, the staff were extremely unfriendly. Even returning our dishes politely after breakfast got no acknowledgment. From the very start, we felt unwelcome. After seeing similar accounts in reviews on other platforms, I feel our experience isn't isolated. This isn't a prejudice, but unfortunately our experience of how foreign guests are treated. We found it disappointing, off-putting, and ultimately ridiculous. I'd recommend choosing another hostel or hotel instead of spending your holiday time here. Oguzhan
