Hotel de la Paix

We loved the hotel’s decor and its beautiful feel. Our room was comfortable, with a balcony and a gorgeous view, and the street was quiet while still close to the town centre. Breakfast was nice, and they brought hot drinks to the table. The owners and staff were the best part, so friendly and helpful. We’d stay here again if we return to Interlaken.

The old clocks, posters, and vintage elevator gave the hotel a wonderfully kitschy, antique feel, which I loved. It’s central enough to walk to Interlaken west train station and lots of restaurants. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was very comfortable, though it had a slightly dusty smell, which I expected given the hotel’s age. I’d happily return.

The hotel is on a peaceful, quiet street, yet it’s very handy for shopping and sightseeing around Interlaken. Breakfast was generous and good, and my room was entirely satisfactory. I’m on a cycling tour, and they had secure bicycle storage in a garage. Space is limited, so check with them before arriving. The staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous from check-in to departure.

The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. Shops are close by, with a mall just around the corner that has a great grocery store and a good restaurant. Excellent hotel and a perfect location.
