The place feels really restful. I liked how simply but thoughtfully the restaurant is furnished, with none of the fussy Alpine decor. The food is made with care, and the service is genuinely warm. Definitely worth going.

Everything was clean and well looked after, and the setting is lovely. It’s a mountain inn with rooms, so don’t go expecting hotel comfort; that’s not really the point. The menu is okay. You can drive up to Pirigen, but you need a day permit costing CHF 10, payable through a mobile app.

The climb was tough, but getting there was well worth the effort. The food was fantastic and everyone was so friendly. Then we had the fun of sledding back down. Thanks so much! We visited on March 21, 2018. Greetings from Wurzen.
