The setting is a highlight: Hotel Beau-Rivage Palace sits right on the lake, with beautiful views of the water and mountains. The old town is easy to reach by metro or taxi. The rooms are lovely, especially those facing the lake, and the bathrooms have both a shower and a bathtub. The spa was pleasant, with a nice garden and an impressive building. The sauna and steam room are small, but still nice. The food was very good, and breakfast had an excellent selection. Sadly, the bar was closed during my stay, which is disappointing for a five-star hotel. Service was uneven. My luggage, which I'd dropped off before arriving, wasn't in my room when I got there. Housekeeping did a great job and were very friendly, but often didn't clean the room until after 3 pm. Turn-down service was hit or miss, sometimes with chocolate and sometimes without. Reception staff were friendly, though check-in took about 30 minutes because the wait was so long. Service in the lobby was slow and there were mistakes. My salad dressing arrived only after I'd finished the salad, and seating arrangements were inflexible. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location, but the service didn't always match.

Getting upgraded to a suite with a balcony view felt like pure magic. It was easily the most beautiful room I've ever stayed in. The Beau-Rivage Hotel was the highlight of my first trip to Switzerland, and more than I had imagined for a Swiss getaway. The team's hospitality made the trip unforgettable, and I'll treasure those memories. A huge thank you to them. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

We stayed one night at the Beau-Rivage Palace to celebrate our son's graduation, and the occasion became an unforgettable time at the hotel too. The celebration at the Restaurant "PIC" was the high point. Our rooms were beautifully furnished, the service was "impeccable", and the views of the lake and mountains were breathtaking. Thank you for making my son's graduation so special. We hope to be your guests again before too long.

The rooms were impeccable, and luxury seemed to be everywhere, with an incredible mix of Palace/Grand Hotel atmosphere and modern touches. Gaia at reception deserves a special mention for being so welcoming and kind throughout my stay. Marion from the SPA introduced me to the SPA's partnership with Guerlain, and Anis was always there when I had restaurant and booking questions, helping me choose. I've never had a better hotel experience in Switzerland. I can't wait to return to this marvelous property and its lovely team. An absolute must when in Switzerland!

The bar was a pleasant place for a business meeting, and I liked the drinks. I briefly ate a protein yogurt I'd brought because of my strict nutrition schedule. I understand the policy on outside food, but the floor manager's long explanation in public felt unnecessary and a little uncomfortable. We decided not to order anything else. Good hospitality also takes tact and proportion when enforcing rules.
