Handy for a short stay.

The apartment was so cold that I spent as much time as possible elsewhere, including at the late-opening McDonalds, just to warm up. Both heaters were turned all the way up but barely felt lukewarm. Cold air came in around the window, and the insulation seemed nonexistent. I kept the shutters closed day and night hoping they’d help. The floor was freezing too, so even two pairs of socks or slippers weren’t enough. I had to wear gym shoes with two socks just to walk between the bed and kitchen. The hot water was barely warmer than the room, and I couldn’t stand to shower. I tried to make a bath by boiling litres of water in the kettle and on the stove and pouring it into the tub, hoping to get the water to an acceptable temperature. This is ridiculous. There were other problems as well. The bathtub surface was sneakily scratchy, not obvious at first, and left tiny bleeding wounds all over my back. It seemed to have been treated to make it less slippery, but that made it unusable. There wasn’t a single mirror where I could see myself properly, including the bathroom mirror, which was so dark I could barely see anything. I’ve stayed many times at Vision Apartments in different Swiss cities and never had such a bad experience. This is a hotel for dogs, not people. I’ve never had anything like this in any hotel.

Check-in was around midnight on Dec 4, 2024, and I regretted the choice as soon as I saw the room. It was badly managed, nothing like the website photos, which seemed completely photoshopped. It was filthy, with dirt and rot in every corner and spiders on the ceiling. More than half the lights didn’t work, the countertop was stained, and the microwave was dirty too. I found online comments about the company’s poor reputation, both for the room condition and for reluctance to take responsibility. Many mentioned bad customer service. The state of the room left me no choice but to find another hotel right away, which meant paying an extra walk-in rate. I called customer service on Dec 6 about a refund. They told me to email and said the customer service manager would handle my case, asking me to send photos of the room. I did that on Dec 12 and never heard back. It’s now been almost a month, and visionappartment still hasn’t responded. It’s clear to me they don’t want to deal with the refund. Horrible experience, the worst.

The bathroom sink was clogged, which was pretty disgusting, and the soundproofing was nonexistent. I could hear everything from the other rooms. When I arrived, nobody was at reception. Luckily, a woman helped me reach someone so I could get to my room. The apartment had several maintenance problems. The shutters didn’t work, and I reported it on the first night. They said a technician would come the next day, but no one did. I then spent two nights without sleep because of the light and noise outside. On the second night, when I called, they offered to move me, but I couldn’t check whether the shutters worked before switching rooms. The service was awful. I wouldn’t recommend staying there.
