Hotel Edelweiss Wengen

The rooms are petite, but had what we needed, and the views of Eiger were excellent. Monica welcomed us and gave us great recommendations. We also met the head chef, who prepares breakfast and dinner to order each day. After hiking, it was lovely to use the sauna.

We stayed in October 2024 and are already looking forward to returning. Our hosts chatted with us every day and gave excellent advice about where we wanted to go, including Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, and the best way to get there. The rooms were excellent. It's very close to the train station, with incredible views of the valley and glacier. We had such a good stay and highly recommend choosing this place for a Swiss stay!

We spent four nights here with my wife and had a great stay. The room had good amenities, enough space for two, and a balcony with amazing mountain views. It's close to the train station, though the walk uphill to it is a little steep. Tom kindly helped us book a taxi. Everyone made us feel well looked after. At check-in, we got explanations about things to do nearby and maps that helped us understand the trails. Tom was warm and checked in with us each day. Balazs explained the hiking routes really well, and Sarah greeted us kindly at breakfast every morning. Matthias, the head chef, made sure we had great food at breakfast and cooked us Rosti and Fondue for dinner. It was amazing, and we had fun talking with him about Wengen. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The dinner was so good that we ate at the restaurant both nights of our stay. We were here for our honeymoon, and the welcoming staff clearly went out of their way to make guests feel at ease. Monica greeted us and had great ideas for things to do nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, with lovely mountain scenery outside. We visited a few other towns on our honeymoon, but this stay was the highlight.
