Check-in was smooth, and everything felt organized and comfortable for a budget hotel. ibis budget Genève Palexpo Aéroport is a practical option if you want affordable accommodation close to the airport. The terminal is a short walk away, and public transport makes it easy to get to the city center and lake area. A reliable, convenient stop for travelers on the move.

Antonio in the lobby was easily the best person who helped me, super, super friendly. I speak Spanish, and he does too, which was a big relief since it’s so rare to find someone speaking Spanish in this town. The hotel is really close to the airport, around a 10-minute walk or less if you walk fast. You can drink the tap water too, it’s really refreshing. I had a twin room, which was enough for me traveling solo. The hotel was nice and clean, and the service was pretty good. It’s also easy to catch a bus into the city center, or take the train from the airport to pretty much anywhere. I even managed a day trip to zermatt and back.

The bar stays open until 1 am, and the welcome is always incredibly friendly. I used to stay at the nearby Nash hotel when passing through Geneva for ski trips, but it doesn’t compare to the Ibis Hotel at Palexpo. You can walk there easily from the airport, and the rooms are clean and compact, with an overhead bunk that works well for three people.

The free bus pass made the quick ride to the airport easy, and saved us a 15-minute walk with luggage. I was pleasantly surprised for the price. Staff were kind and helpful, and our room was clean and cozy. The snack bar stays open late, until 1 AM, so there’s always somewhere to go for food or a drink.
