Swiss Star Zurich Airport

The room was boiling hot, there’s no AC, and it was noisy all night. The smell was awful too, a mix of cigarettes, drainage, and dirty sheets that’s hard to describe. We arrived at check-in time to find the room in the condition shown in the pictures. No one was there to help, and their phone number didn’t work. We waited with our luggage outside the room while the cleaners started at 14:20. They didn’t offer to move us. What a waste of money. I’ve never had accommodation this poor. Don’t put yourself through it. A complete disappointment.

The location is exceptionally good, and everything worked well enough for us. I’d book here again if I came back. I’d read some bad reviews and was a bit worried, but decided to take a chance and wasn’t disappointed. It’s not a new or fancy building, though it has what you need for a comfortable stay. Maybe I just got lucky, who knows.

The room was hot and smelled really bad, and there’s no AC. On top of that, the shower and toilet were broken and the sink was backed up. Almost every amenity in the room had an issue. I should’ve paid extra and gone somewhere else.

The hotel smelled disgusting everywhere, from the lobby to the halls, and there were no basics like soap, dish soap, or paper towels. The floor was filthy, and the table wobbled so badly it was unusable. We’d paid for two beds, but got one large bed made from two pushed together under a single sheet and blanket, so they couldn’t be separated. Check-in was meant to be at 2 PM, but when I arrived on time, the room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. We had to wait a long time for that to be dealt with. It was a really disappointing stay, and I’d never return.
