Wonderlandscape Guest House

I felt completely safe and at home here as an Asian American woman traveling solo in Europe for the first time. The room was spacious and spotless, and somehow elegant and affordable at the same time. It has the feel of a storybook place, full of history but with thoughtful modern comforts. If it’s free on your travel dates, don’t hesitate to book. Marc is kind and generous, and made sure I felt welcome and looked after. We had a short, memorable conversation about his family’s connection to the house, going back five generations. There’s beautiful workmanship everywhere, from the flower-carved chandeliers to the big solid-wood armoires and windows. The details also make it a restful place to stay: the quality bedding and supportive mattress gave me the best sleep of my trip. The well-stocked bathroom was shared with just one other person, which was never an issue, and I could use a lovely full kitchen. The floor tiles were so clean and pleasant that I was happy to walk barefoot, even though I normally travel with slippers. Geneva was very warm during my visit. There was no air conditioning in the room, but a powerful fan kept me comfortable. On my last night I slept with the window open, looking out at the mountains and the house’s stunning garden. The location is hard to beat too: a free bus ride of just 10 minutes from the airport, and only a few stops from the UN and city center. It felt like stepping into another time, or a charming, luxurious countryside dream. Next time I’m in Geneva, I’ll book again and recommend the house to everyone I know. Marc made our stay memorable. He was wonderful and helpful with the room arrangements, shared all the tourist information we needed, and helped us plan our itinerary. My parents arrived separately, and he took great care of them before I got there. The rooms and location were fantastic, and the living room and garden felt cozy. Everything was comfortable, and the little kitchen was handy since we like having dinner at home. I’m grateful for the stay.

The house and rooms feel cosy and homely, and Mark was a great host. It’s well located for the airport, transport links and city centre. I didn’t have the breakfast, though it smelled delicious. A more personal, relaxed option than a big hotel if that’s what you’re after.

Marc was one of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met. He even texted before I arrived and offered support, and his friendly, polite and accommodating manner made the stay even better. I stayed in the Cherry Suite at Wonderlandscape Guest House. It was comfortable, spotless and beautifully designed, with everything I needed, including a spacious, clean washroom and a well-equipped kitchen right next door. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended, 10/10!
