Le Paysan Horloger

This restored former farmhouse brings together a restaurant, a small hotel, and a museum about the watchmaker-farmer. Inside, the exhibits give a picture of life in that trade at the start of the last century, with historical treasures showing the period from land clearing through industrialization.

The museum offers a charming look at watchmaking in the Franches-Montagnes region. Video testimonies and explanatory displays show how production was organized, from the 17th century through the post-war period.

Plan on spending more than an hour if you want to see and read it all. There are films and interactive screens to add variety, and visitors can handle watchmaker tools. Most of those stations were empty during our visit.
