Bottega del Vino Guesthouse

Our entrecote with café de Paris was tender and cooked just right, rare-medium, but it kept cooking on the very hot plate it was served on. By the second half, the meat was well done. The staff were friendly. It's a different sort of restaurant, with just a few small tables and two huge tables at the back. It's somehow linked to the wine maker Delea, and has their full wine range along with other wines from Ticino.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming, and the little courtyard was especially nice. I also loved the attention to detail in the table decorations. The meat was super delicious, and the burger meat itself was really tasty. I can't give five stars because the bun was dry and heavy, more like bread than a light, fluffy burger bun, and there were too many sweet onions. As a meat lover, I wanted the meat to be the focus, with the onions as a small topping. The bun should hold it together without taking up so much space and weight. Less is more. I've only tried the burger so far, so that's all I can judge. Thanks to the staff and kitchen, you do a wonderful job and it's much appreciated!

The lake is so close, and you can take a refreshing walk after a meal at La Bottega del Vino, even if the weather turns. I first came for dinner because it was near my hotel, then went back for lunch too. They have a daily menu with a fair price for a starter and main, and both were delicious. I had octopus carpacio and fish soup, both yummy. Lovely fresh food in a calm, beautiful setting. I'd definitely recommend it!
