Casa Al Molo in Locarno

Almost €800 for Friday, May 15th to Sunday, May 17th, and the ants and rudeness were completely intolerable. We arrived around 9 PM on Friday. The house had ants everywhere, with traps scattered around and large numbers of dead ants constantly left on the floor. One morning I asked for a vacuum or at least a broom to clean them up. I got a broom, but no dustpan, so it wasn’t much use. At checkout, a phone call came fifteen minutes after the agreed time asking me to let the cleaning staff in. Another fifteen minutes passed and nobody showed up, so I decided to leave the apartment anyway and called the only contact who had been polite up to then. While I was arranging to return the keys, a man arrived on a bicycle and accused us of leaving late, even though we were already out. He didn’t know what had happened during the previous half hour. We loaded the car and drove a few steps away, but he followed on his bike and scolded us again. I told him about the ants, the unwanted guests in the house, and he said it wasn’t his concern because he had other things to do. I called the person I’d spoken to earlier, who kindly hung up on me. Truly a scandal. Zero stars, but that isn’t an option.
