The old-town location is hard to beat, tucked into a lovely little lane with restaurants and bars nearby, and the price felt fair for such a central spot. Inside, there are several places to sit and relax, including the courtyard, and our room looked out toward the church and Cardada. The whole place was clean and comfortable, with a cozy feel, friendly helpful staff, and a good breakfast. We were a couple, but it seemed suited to all kinds of guests, from families and solo travelers to older couples and young backpackers. The walls are a little thin, so a noisy neighbor could disturb you. Still, I’d happily stay here again if I return to Locarno.

Alessandra seemed to be everywhere, greeting guests at arrival, at breakfast, and even out on the street. She was always smiling and attentive, and you can tell the staff put real care into their work. The service was fantastic, and the central Locarno location is lovely. Breakfast was pretty good, and the courtyard is divine. The place is spotless and lovingly decorated, though I wasn’t keen on the bleach smell. I was unsure about staying somewhere rated three stars without an ensuite bathroom, but it turned out fine. There’s a basin, mirror, and cabinet in the room, plus two sinks and a shower on each floor. I never found them in use, and they were always very clean. It was hot, so I slept with the window open and street noise made it hard to sleep. A double-glazed window and fan were available, but the fan air doesn’t agree with me. A thunderstorm on the second night drowned out the street noise, and I slept well.

The family room had a private bathroom, comfortable beds, and a cozy terrace. Breakfast was good, with omelette, vegetables, ham, pastries, coffee, and juice. For the price, it was a pretty good one-night stay, with a nice view of the mountains and city. Bring your own shampoo, and expect to hear some noise from the nearby waste collection point.

The patio was a lovely place to unwind, and breakfast was gorgeous, with homemade products. We came with friends for our first trip in months and were stunned by how beautiful the place is. Cinzia, Nadia, and Alessandra were so kind, and they seem to love the place like their own home, which makes the name make sense. The rooms are bright, really nice, and everything feels new. It’s right in the city centre. We’ll definitely come back.

We really liked staying here. The host was super nice, helpful, and flexible, and the place was clean and fresh. It’s perfectly central and bike friendly, with a locked cellar for storing bikes. The breakfast buffet and coffee were tasty and included in the price, and there’s a good, reasonably priced restaurant downstairs.
